browser.Actually it is always use exclusively for Mac, Apple.But now Safari also now can be use for windows user.On June 17,2007, Safari was released for windows user like Windows XP and Windows Vista.Because of Safari is made by Apple.Inc , it released for the windows with the hope that the window users could attract to get a Mac.Unfortunately, there are already other browers for windows users such as Internet Explorer,Mozzila Firefox and Opera.So, it will be difficult for Apple Inc. to attract the windows user.But the Safari have it own advantage for example, it only need a little space of ram only and have a nice view.But still I think that not enough for attract the windows user.The Apple Inc. should improve the Safari like make it more safety and we surf the internet it will be more fast from the other browser.If it can be, for sure the windows user will use the Safari but to buy the Mac?? I don't think so because we know that Mac,Apple is so expensive than the windows.Only a curtain people will use the Mac,Apple such as a graphic designer.

ENTRY #7 10 Reasons Not to Skimp on Sleep

ource : http://health.usnews.com/articles/health/living-well-usn/2008/10/16/10-reasons-not-to-skimp-on-sleep.html

("Too busy to go to bed? Having trouble getting quality sleep once you do? Your health may be at risk.I'm interesting went read the article because I actually a person who always sleep late and sometimes will not go to sleep.In that article it give ten reasons not to skimp on sleep.The reasons are:

1) Less may mean more. For people who sleep under seven hours a night, the fewer zzzz's they get, the more obese they tend to be, according to a 2006 Institute of Medicine report. This may relate to the discovery that insufficient sleep appears to tip hunger hormones out of whack. Leptin, which suppresses appetite, is lowered; ghrelin, which stimulates appetite, gets a boost.

2) You're more apt to make bad food choices. A study published this week in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine found that people with obstructive sleep apnea or other severely disordered breathing while asleep ate a diet higher in cholesterol, protein, total fat, and total saturated fat. Women were especially affected.

3) Diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance, its precursor, may become more likely. A 2005 study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that people getting five or fewer hours of sleep each night were 2.5 times more likely to be diabetic, while those with six hours or fewer were 1.7 times more likely.

4) The ticker is put at risk. A 2003 study found that heart attacks were 45 percent more likely in women who slept for five or fewer hours per night than in those who got more.

5) Blood pressure may increase. Obstructive sleep apnea, for example, has been associated with chronically elevated daytime blood pressure, and the more severe the disorder, the more significant the hypertension, suggests the 2006 IOM report. Obesity plays a role in both disorders, so losing weight can ease associated health risks.

6) Auto accidents rise. As stated in a 2007 report in the New England Journal of Medicine, nearly 20 percent of serious car crash injuries involve a sleepy driver—and that's independent of alcohol use.

7) Balance is off. Older folks who have trouble getting to sleep, who wake up at night, or are drowsy during the day could be 2 to 4.5 times more likely to sustain a fall, found a 2007 study in the Journal of Gerontology.

8) You may be more prone to depression. Adults who chronically operate on fumes report more mental distress, depression, and alcohol use. Adolescents suffer, too: One survey of high school students found similarly high rates of these issues. Middle schools students, too, report more symptoms of depression and lower self-esteem.

9) Kids may suffer more behavior problems. Research from an April issue of the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine found that children who are plagued by insomnia, short duration of sleeping, or disordered breathing with obesity, for example, are more likely to have behavioral issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

10) Death's doorstep may be nearer. Those who get five hours or less per night have approximately 15 percent greater risk of dying—regardless of the cause—according to three large population-based studies published in the journals Sleep and the Archives of General Psychiatry.

The ten reasons make me deeply thinks because there are so many side effects to our body if we not take enough sleep.It may be short our life too.The conclusion is, we must make sure that we take the enough sleep for our self and also not too overdo the sleep.")

ENTRY #6 Face-Off: AMD Puma vs. Intel Centrino 2

Source : http://www.laptopmag.com/features/mobile-life/face-off-amd-puma-vs-intel-centrino-2.aspx?page=1

It's no secret that Intel has soared while AMD has stumbled through the past year. In fact, as of press time AMD's worldwide share of the notebook microprocessor market had sunk to a paltry 12.6 percent compared to Intel's 86.5 percent. That's a dramatic fall-off from a high of 18.9 percent in the third quarter of 2007. Part of the problem is that AMD is still working to integrate the recently acquired ATI, but whatever the reasons, Intel has forged ahead with smaller and more power-efficient 45-nanometer processors while AMD has been stuck churning out 65nm chips for what now seems like eons.

On the other hand, in many cases, systems with AMD inside are considerably cheaper than their Intel Centrino–powered counterparts. For instance, we surveyed the price difference between three notebooks available with both Puma and Centrino 2 and found, on average, that Centrino 2 notebooks cost $217 more than Puma ones with all other components being equal. Each company claims to offer superior integrated graphics, battery life, 802.11n wireless strength, and improved overall performance. That's nice, you say, but which is better?

To find out, we decided to put the two platforms to the test. To do this, we used two notebooks, identically configured with the exception of their CPU, graphics card, and wireless radio. These 15.4-inch systems had 2GB of RAM, 160GB hard drives, integrated graphics, and DVD burners with Blu-ray. YAM CHER SENG writes.

     FOR most women, part of the morning and evening routines involve a skincare regimen of applying cleanser, toner and moisturiser. They do it to combat the signs of ageing and to maintain a youthful complexion.

But thought must also be put into their diet which may also play an important role in promoting a healthy, radiant skin.

Proper skin health starts from within, more than what expensive cleansers and moisturisers can do for you. Nutrition plays a vital role in you looking your best, rewarding you with smooth, radiant skin.

A healthy skin is not the domain of women alone. Men too are paying attention to the tangible rewards of looking after themselves.
First, cut down on simple carbohydrates, saturated fats, trans-fatty acids and cholesterol. Instead, opt for complex carbohydrates (oats, whole-meal bread, whole-grains), fresh vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts. Go for essential fatty acids (EFAs), the omega-6, which you can find in plant oils such as flaxseed oil and evening primrose oil (EPO).

Essential fatty acids are needed for healthy skin and hair. An EFA deficiency results in skin lesions, flaking dandruff, brittle nails and thinning hair. Correcting the diet by adding more EFAs doesn't always work because the EFAs may be blocked by trans-fatty acids or the person may not have adequate vitamins B6 and C, or the minerals magnesium and zinc in the diet. Evening primrose oil bypasses this problem by supplying the immediate PG-precursor GLA.

Until recently, it was not realised that factors in the typical diet could block GLA formation in the body. We can make GLA out of 'cis-linoleic acid', a form of linoleic acid that occurs in nature such as those found in evening primrose oil, flaxseed oil and plant oils.

On the other hand, the 'trans-linoleic acid' form is mostly man-made. Examples of trans-fatty acids are processed vegetable oils (to improve stability and odour) and hydrogenated seed oils. Too much of trans-linoleic acid in the diet will interfere with the production and utilisation of GLA from cis-linoleic acid.

Thus, supplementation with evening primrose oil, which contains both linoleic acid and high bioavailability of GLA will be of benefit. A daily dose may help to regulate hormone levels, improve skin conditions, and reduce inflammation of the skin due to eczema.

A study done by R. Muggli, Switzerland, published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science in August 2005 shows that the intake of three capsules of evening primrose oil 500mg per day for a continuous 12 weeks improves skin texture and function in healthy people. The skin parameters that were measured were skin moisture, trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), elasticity, firmness, fatigue resistance and roughness. A maintenance dose of 1,000mg per day may keep the skin glowing and healthy.

This study shows that Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) found in EPO is a conditionally essential fatty acid for the skin. Therefore, regular intake of EPO, an oil with a high bioavailability of GLA content, strengthens the physiological skin barrier function, improves the biomechanical properties and smooths the skin.

Apart from supplementation with evening primrose oil, other tips for promoting skin health include adopting a skincare regime suited for your skin, using products that contain sunscreen protection with minimum SPF 15, wearing good sunglasses when out in the sun or glare, managing stress, getting adequate amount of sleep, drinking eight glasses of water to keep your skin hydrated, practising regular bowel movement, avoiding alcohol and tobacco smoke and getting regular exercise to flush out toxins via sweating.

("Now days everyone want to looks smart or beautiful especially to a women.There are many type of cosmetics and toiletries products in the industry that produce to make the consumers filling well with their look.Moreover, the the toiletries for man also have been produces by many manufactures and I strongly believe that man also take seriously about their look and style, therefore they also will find and buy the stuff that will help them to improve their appearances.Unfortunately, the products that in the market may be some of it can give a bad effects to the consumers.Because of that, the writer suggest to the reader or consumer to balanced diet and stay healthy lifestyle.When we take care of our healthy,our body system will be more effective and could make our skin to make excretion.In our life, food can be one the factor that can manipulates our healthy so, writer was suggest to us to take care about our diets too.If we take care of this two things, we could get the healthy skin without need to buy so many cosmetics or toiletries products that may be in quietly will harm ourselves.")

ENTRY #4 NICE VIEW

Bhd., who introduced the first budget no-frills airline, Air Asia, to Malaysians with the tagline "Now everyone can fly".

He rose to prominence by turning Air Asia, a fledging government-linked commercial airline, into a highly successful public-listed company. Fernandes was also instrumental in lobbying the then-Malaysian Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in mid-2003, to propose the idea of open skies agreements with neighbouring Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore. As a result, these nations have granted landing rights to AirAsia and other discount carriers.

Pre-entrepreneurship days

Born in [[Kuala Lumpur]], Fernandes is part [[Goa]]n and part Malacca Portuguese, is the son of the late Stephen Edward Fernandes, and Ena Dorothy Fernandez. When he was young, he used to follow his mother, a businesswoman, to [[Tupperware]] dealer parties and conventions.
He was educated at [[Epsom College]] 1977-83 and then graduated from the [[London School of Economics]] in 1987. He worked very briefly with [[Virgin Atlantic Airways|Virgin Atlantic]] as an [[auditor]], subsequently becoming the [[Accountancy|financial controller]] for [[Richard Branson]]'s [[Virgin Records]] in [[London]] from 1987 to 1989.AirAsia 2006 Corporate Annual Report,Tony was admitted as Associate Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 1991 and became Fellow Member in 1996.

Upon his return to [[Malaysia]], he became the youngest-ever [[managing director]] of Warner Music (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. Though an accountant, Fernandes is an amateur guitarist and also has achieved grade 8 piano which is where his musical inclination lies. He was responsible for revolutionising ethnic music, nasyid and dangdut, bringing them into the mainstream of contemporary Malaysian music.

He subsequently became the [[South East Asia]]n regional vice-president for [[Warner Music Group]] from 1992-2001. When Time Warner Inc announced its merger with [[America Online|America Online Inc.]], Fernandes left to pursue his dream of starting a budget no-frills airline. However, his application for a license from the Malaysian government was rejected.

Launching [AirAsia]

It was through Datuk Pahamin A. Rejab, the former secretary-general of the Malaysian Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry that Fernandes got to meet up with the then [[Prime Minister]], [[Malay titles|Tun]] [[Dr.]] [[Mahathir Mohamad]] in October 2001. The wily Malaysian prime minister had a cropper in his hand, which he had been trying to unload for nearly two years.

AirAsia, the heavily-indebted [[subsidiary]] of the Malaysian government-owned [[Conglomerate (company)|conglomerate]], [[DRB-Hicom Berhad|DRB-Hicom]], was losing money big-time. Instead of starting from scratch, Mahathir advised Fernandes to buy an existing airline instead. Fernandes mortgaged his home and sank his savings to acquire the company, comprising two ageing [[Boeing 737-300]] [[Jet aircraft|jets]] (9M-AAA and 9M-AAB) and USD$11 million (RM40 million) worth of debts, for 26 US cents (one [[ringgit]]), and transformed it into an industry player.

Coming just after the [[September 11, 2001]], undoubtedly the worst day in the history of [[commercial aviation]] when nobody wanted to fly, everyone thought that Fernandes had gone "crazy", predicting that the company would fail miserably. Yet, just one year after his takeover, AirAsia had broken even and cleared all its debts. Its initial public offering (IPO) in November 2004 was oversubscribed by 130 per cent.

Fernandes says his timing was in fact perfect: Since September 11, 2001, aircraft [[Leasing|leasing costs]] were down 40%. Also, airline [[lay-off]]s mean experienced staff were readily available. He believed Malaysian travellers would embrace a cut-rate air service that will save them time and money, especially in a tight economy. That was why he copied one of the world's most successful no-frills carriers, [[Ryanair]] out of [[Ireland]] (which in turn is modelled after [[Southwest Airlines]] in the [[United States]]). Fernandes reckons that about 50 per cent of the travellers on Asia’s budget airlines are first-time flyers. Before [[AirAsia]], he estimates that only six per cent of Malaysians had ever travelled in a plane.Other Ventures

In 2007, Tony Fernandes has again created a "first" in Asia by starting a hotel chain, [[Tune Hotels]] which is based on the no-frills concept. The first Tune Hotel was opened at the intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman in the heart of [[Kuala Lumpur]]. Expansions are in the works as more hotels will be opened up throughout Malaysia.

Achievements and awards

Fernandes' biggest achievement has been to turn AirAsia into an international carrier. Before the creation of AirAsia, countries in the region did not have open-skies agreements. In mid-2003, Fernandes' lobbying pushed Dr Mahathir to raise the idea with the leaders of neighbouring [Thailand], [Indonesia], and [Singapore].
As a result, those nations have granted landing rights to AirAsia and other discount carriers. Fernandes has indeed set in motion the advent of budget carriers in the region. Now, South east Asia hosts a number of low-price carriers such as:

* Singapore’s [[Tiger Airways]] (owned by [[Singapore Airlines]]);
* Singapore’s [[Valuair]], and [[Jetstar Asia Airways|Jetstar Asia]] (partly owned by [[Qantas Airways]]) (both airlines merged in 2005);
* Thailand's [[Nok Air]];
* Indonesia's [[Lion Air]];
* Vietnam's [[Jetstar Pacific]] (formerly [[Pacific Airlines]]), and
* Philippines's [[Cebu Pacific]].

In 2004, AirAsia formed successful joint ventures in Thailand and Indonesia where AirAsia holds 49% stake in both companies. His presentation is not encourage everybody to listen to it.His body language like his hand that always on his body shows like he doesn't have confident to talk to everyone.The other person that not delivered his speech well is from Dick Hardt.Although he is the the founder and CEO of SXIP company.In his speech,it is to many slide to shows to the audience and the tone of his speech is same from the beginnings until the end.He also give his speech without a stop.

ENTRY #1  LEGEND WRITING

Dato' Anthony Francais Fernandes that also known as Dato' Tony Fernandes is the person I choose to by my famous person or my icon. The reason why I choose him because he has high motivation and make me feel so motivated.From my eye, when he is in front of many cameras or reporters when delivers a speeches or a talks ,he looks so energetic . It will always give a nice smile and make the reporters feel comfortable and friendly .

The other reason is that , Dato' Tony have a simple fashion or only a simple wearing style. For example, in each ceremony of Air Asia it will always wear a blazer without a tie on his neck.But, the interesting for me is that he will always wear his cap. When I saw him with that style, I was thinking that how can a CEO of Air Asia Berhad ,second largest airlines company in Malaysia just wearing simple like that. Although just wearing like that,it not shows that he is not a professional, but still he always have such a professional attitudes.

Then, the other reason why I choose him as my icon is that I think he give hopes to everyone to up to the sky. He give hopes especially to Malaysian citizens to fill the excitement when flying in a such beautiful and wonderful earth.How??When the Air Asia was builded it was the first low fairs airlines in Malaysia.It give opportunity to all people.Not only to professional class or upper class, it also give opportunity to lower class or who's did not have much income.

But what more important is,it also give opportunity to a student like me and the others to fill the excitement of being on the sky.Because of that, I choose him as my famous person to me.
